UPCEA Membership
The University Professional & Continuing Education Association is an institutionally-based membership organization. Its membership is composed of Institutional and Affiliate Memberships, which both include professional memberships. The Association's membership categories are described below.
Institutional Membership
Institutional membership applies to regionally-accredited, degree-granting colleges and universities that are incorporated in the United States.
Institutional memberships are based on the Institution’s enrollment and highest degree program.
Institutional Membership includes:
- 1 professional membership for the institution’s official representative, who receives all mailings of the Association and participates in the business meetings and elections of the Association on behalf of the institution.
- Set number of professional memberships (ranging 3-14) based on membership category.

Affiliate Membership
Affiliate status is available to colleges and universities outside the United States, and to non-profit organizations with an interest or current activities in the field of continuing higher education.
As of July 2001, non-U.S. colleges and universities that are accredited by their country’s higher education authority have the option to become institutional members of the Association.
Affiliate Membership includes:
- 1 professional membership for the institution’s official representative, who receives all mailings of the Association.
- 4 additional professional memberships.

Professional Membership
Are you on the staff or faculty of a member institution? All professional staff or faculty at UPCEA member institutions and affiliates are eligible to join the Association as professional members.
Once an institution or affiliate member has exceeded its allotted number of professional memberships, additional professional memberships are $50.00.
