Dear UPCEA Global Associates Members –
As you know from the recent UPCEA survey, the Washington Briefing with a focus on India is just around the corner. We are looking forward to a great briefing and hope you will be joining us on January 25-27, 2012 in Washington DC.
The Washington Briefing is one of Global Associates’ premier events of the year. The briefing brings together experts on various aspect of the focus country (e.g. India – 2012, Indonesia - 2011, Vietnam – 2010, Turkey – 2009, etc.) and is designed to provide participants with up to date information on such aspects of the focus country as:
-
The higher education system and relevant regulatory policies;
-
Religious, language and cultural diversity;
-
What’s important to know about doing business in the country;
-
Concrete programmatic examples (global centers/campuses, dual degree partnerships, etc.);
-
The economic situation present and future projections (this could include population growth, sector growth, projected educational needs of a growing economy);
-
The political situation regarding India’s role in the US international strategy; governance and regulation (e.g. visa issuance to students who might come to our programs).
Not only does the briefing provide this detailed information, but it also helps prepare members who would like to attend our fall visit to that country. If you’re considering doing business in India and possibly joining the UPCEA Global Associates delegations to India in the fall of 2012, this briefing is an event you do not want to miss.
Please look on the UPCEA website for further information about the briefing and later this spring, please check back for more information on the planned India visit in October/November 2012.
Hope to see you in January.
Sincerely,
The Executive Committee of UPCEA Global Associates
